Beth McCormick Wolfe, Director of Recruitment for Marshall University, visited the Cabell County Alternative School on the morning of the 46th anniversary of the horrific Marshall University plane crash.  In November of each year, Ms. Wolfe shares the story of the events surrounding the plane crash.  She shares the tragedy by thoughtfully telling stories of those who personally lived through the events.  She shares her own connections with the loss when she realized just how many lives were affected by the tragedy.  She also shares the healing.  She shares the strength and good that can come when people pull together in the face of great pain to help each other.  This is not just a story of loss, but it is also a story of great healing.

In the afternoon of the anniversary, November 14th, the students and staff watched the documentary, Ashes to Glory, to learn more about the tragedy and healing which helped shape Huntington, West Virginia.
