Opioid Prevention Virtual Field Trip & Activities
OpioidsOn the Frontlines of the Opioid Epidemic:  A Community Fighting Back.

The faculty and students of the Cabell County Alternative School embarked on a virtual field trip to their own city to learn more about the opioid epidemic which is wracking the city, state and country.

Students and faculty participated in an interactive poster activity full of movement, deep thought and discussion.

Then they gathered to watch the virtual field trip video and gather strategies for helping someone involved in opioid misuse.

Finally, they completed their afternoon by organizing, analyzing and discussing the strategies that they identified during the film.

This film and the surrounding activities were meant to explain how opioids affect the students' lives.  They saw how they can use their own experiences and ideas to improve Huntington and have a positive impact on their community.
