WVU Extension Services Teen Cuisine

Teen Cuisine Cooking Class Success
CookingOn April 19th, the West Virginia University Extension Services program Teen Cuisine commenced at the Cabell Alternative School.  Students will have 4 weeks of classes where they learn cooking techniques and nutritious meal ideas.

The program leaders worked with 3 groups of students, teaching each group how to chop onions and green pepper and cook omelets.  Students could choose from bacon, cheese, onion, green pepper and salsa to personalize their omelets.

Students are excited to continue their cooking experience in future weeks and earn a Teen Cuisine completer certificate.

During the next few weeks, students learned to make healthy quesadillas, multiple types of salsa and even french toast!  They are having a great time learning and filling their bellies with healthy foods!
